Another quiet day

Today we started to believe the locals – we have been in jeans and long-sleeved tops all day (well I have and Grant wished he was).  The morning was quite overcast, and while the sun came out this afternoon there was quite a cold wind.

We spent the morning planning some adventures – Disneyland tomorrow and Las Vegas next week.  So there will be some rather more exciting posts coming up soon!  We then went for a walk and had lunch at Noah’s Bagels in Manhattan Beach.  We had a nice lunch and discovered that when Americans tell you a meal comes with chips they mean chippies, not fries, and a large coffee is humongous while a regular coffee would be large!  We are learning the ropes slowly :)

A gibbous moon outside Jo's house
We spent a quiet afternoon reading and sorting out some email issues, before heading out to Henessey’s Irish Bar for dinner with Jo and Ian.  We all had burgers (2 for 1 burger night on Tuesday’s at Henessey’s) which were very yummy.

It’s a pretty cold night but clear and
promising for tomorrow.
